Marea Festival

Event Dates

Based on a different theme every year, ranging from peace to satire, Florence's annual Marea festival takes place at the Ex-Buca di Sant'Andrea.

The programme features music and theatre events, exhibitions, talks and sport competitions. In previous years it has included performances by world renowned musicians like Planet Funk, Marlene Kuntz, La Crus and Vecchioni. On the theatre front, it is young and innovative artists who take the stage, while sport events are open to various groups and disciplines. A special programme for children runs every afternoon.
