For an entire week Rome's Auditorium hosts musicians, actors and poets from different countries, but with the same enthusiasm for all things Mediterranean.

The festival begins with the Craj show, organised to resemble a big street party with the lights and smells of a Mediterranean childhood. The event continues with Radiodervish, who recently released the record In Search of Simurgh, and Turkish DJ/musician Mercan Dede and his new project, Secret Tribe.

Then it's Morocco's turn, with concerts by the Arab Andalusian Orchestra from Tangiers. A performance by Greek composer/pianist Eleni Karaindrou together with the National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia features the music composed for the films of director Theo Anghelopoulos, and following Greece are Sicily, Tunisia and Algeria, who come together with two concerts by the group Dounia, along with the Tunisian poet Monces Gachem and the innovative duo Oud i Duoud.

To end the series, two multimedia shows take place on Saturday 12 June: Breviario Mediterraneo by Croat writer Predrag Matveyevic and the Taran'trance show conceived and directed by the eclectic Antonio Infantino.
